Jason LaClair is a Lummi and Nooksack Coast Salish artist and lifelong Whatcom County resident. Raised around working artists and master carvers, he began making hand-drawn designs and prints at a young age. His practice now includes murals, painting, design, illustration, carving, and metalwork. His work appears in schools, libraries, parks, tribal institutions, and other public spaces across the region. Through public projects and classroom visits, he shares Coast Salish art and culture and encourages the next generation of Indigenous artists.
